Chef

Born in the Israeli countryside outside of Jerusalem, Ben’s childhood was filled with the sounds of crackling grass and smells of fresh cut crops. His passion for food began at the young age of 13 when he would sneak into the kitchen to sit by his grandmother’s side and listen to her marvelous tales; from waking up early to be first in line at the local bakery, to buying warm chestnuts rolled up in newspaper from the neighborhood street vendor, her stories transported him to magnificent places.

In his early 20’s, Ben moved to NYC exploring the city during the day and bartending at night. He quickly realized how much he needed to go back to his first love and applied for a prep cook position at a local Spanish Tapas restaurant. Two years, and a lot of hard work later, Ben was promoted to Chef de Cuisine, receiving 2 stars from the NYT.

From NYC to Ft. Lauderdale to Jericoacoara, Ben explored cultures and cuisines through his unique touch.

Co-founding Foodiez with Chef Oren was the natural next step. Personalizing each plate for the perfect dining experience.
